We develop solutions for the logistics of tomorrow
The ports in Umeå and Vaasa are important logistics hubs for Northern Scandinavia as they are strategically located at the intersection of two international E-roads and connect Sweden and Finland (the journey by ship across Kvarken takes only 3,5 h) with Norway in the west and Eastern Europe and Russia and Asia in the east.
Several exciting development projects are currently underway in Umeå and Vaasa with the aim to develop the ports and make them future-proof. This is particularly important as goods volumes are steadily increasing in both ports, both incoming and outgoing goods.
Construction projects in the ports
In Umeå, 1.4 billion SEK will be invested in various construction projects that are expected to be completed 2027 and in Vaasa, investments are planned for SEK 330 million between 2021 - 2030.
